Kayla

Oil, 16 x 20 NFS
This is another attempt at painting a portrait, Kayla, my granddaughter is the subject again.  The first attempt at a portrait was done of her in watercolor, I thought I would try in oil this time.  It was a much different style and medium than last time, I think I like the oil to paint in because I'm more familiar with it.  Elli Milan of Milan art is one of the most patient teachers, she was a huge help in trying to get this accurate.

Kayla

This is the first portrait painting I've ever attempted. The model is my granddaughter Kayla, she is so pretty it made it much easier to paint this.  It is in watercolor, a medium that I don't do a lot of work in, this was really a challenge and I'm pleased with this first effort. The class was taught by Bruce Stam and I highly recommend him as a teacher, very knowledgeable, and very, very patient.
